...
Queen Ants, in their thousands,
like a mass of paratroopers swarming
in the air tonight.
Pulling and popping, a liberation;
filling up the skies.
Coming down to land,
then to hurry on the ground
while others, I see, appearing;
to pull their cords to rise;
to out of the light and gone,
then back right in to shine.
To a blinding sunset, background red
without the noise and sirens.
They fly, they dance en masse;
the queens they do tonight.
Like it was their very last
and a single chance, so right.
And if it was, to say they do
I would be so impressed
as for if, of no tomorrow
this dance would surely rest.
Without the regret of going,
to be like these Ants; a day
I will surely be as happy
if I were the same.
